La edición número 25 de la Cumbre del Clima hace parada en 2019 en Madrid para abordar la crisis climática y buscar soluciones para mitigar y contrarrestar los peligros que este fenómeno ocasiona. Un evento de casi dos semanas de duración que estaba previsto para ser organizado en Chile pero finalmente ha recalado en España.

La Cumbre del Clima es un foro político en la que diferentes partes, conformadas por representantes de más de 200 países, empresas, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y otros grupos se reúnen para tomar decisiones en pos de reducir los efectos del cambio climático y continuar con el Protocolo de Kioto y el Acuerdo de París. En 2019, la edición número 25 tiene lugar en Madrid y se espera un total de 25.000 asistentes entre las que habrá personalidades políticas o activistas como la joven Greta Thunberg, que acude desde Estados Unidos en un catamarán.

¿Dónde se celebra la Cumbre del Clima de Madrid? 2sm6w

La Cumbre del Clima de Madrid se celebra en IFEMA, un espacio en el que se emplearán siete pabellones y 113.000 metros cuadrados para dicho evento, con dos espacios bien diferenciados. Por un lazo estará la Zona Azul, un espacio istrado por Naciones Unidas y en donde tendrán lugar las negociaciones políticas. Por otra parte estará la Zona Verde, dedicada a la "Agenda de Acción Climática Global", destinada a eventos realizados por las ONG y distintos colectivos, con diversas jornadas temáticas.

Más de 1.500 personas han trabajado en el montaje del evento. El staff técnico estará formado por 4.000 personas más 2.000 voluntarios. Además, 200 personas de la istración General del Estado trabajarán durante los días que abarca la cumbre, junto a 300 personas que IFEMA ha contratado para dar soporte a la organización de la ONU y 50 ingenieros en el Centro de Coordinación de red.

La Cumbre del Clima de Madrid comienza el día 2 de diciembre a las 10:30 horas de la mañana con una inauguración oficial. Pedro Sánchez, como presidente del Gobierno de España en funciones, intervendrá en la misma. El resto de días el horario será de 10:00 horas de la mañana a 18:00 horas de la tarde.

El evento durará hasta el día 13 de diciembre, habiendo hasta entonces reuniones, talleres y conferencias a diario con intervenciones de diferentes países y organismos.
